Omar – a carpenter in The Gambia

2 Omar a carpenter in The GambiaOmar is a man we met while shooting "The Exchange: Six Faces of the Gambia" in March 2009. We knew he was not going to be one of the six main people profiled, but when time opened up in our shooting schedule, we decided to return to Omar's shop and get some footage. We told him that we'd put a short vignette up online in order that his story might reach other carpenters and tradespeople in the world who can respect his skill and determination.

This is the first project Nikki Comeau has edited for Journeyman; she's our newest employee who started in September 2009. Thanks Nikki!
